Class Description, Fees & Required Dancewear

GRADE LEVELS ARE THE GRADE YOU ARE GOING IN THE UPCOMING YEAR

Bitty Cheer (Pre-Kinder) They will be learning the cheer basics(angles, kicks, jumps, stunts, tumbling) and two routines. They will be performing at the year end review and one free performance. ½ hour will be combined with Mini for stunting.

Mini Cheer ( 1st -3rd grade) They will be learning the cheer basics(angles, kicks, jumps, stunts, tumbling) and two routines. They will be performing atthe year end review and one free performance. ½ hour will be combined with Bitty for stunting.

Elite White, Blue, Gold (3rd grade & up) Placement needed and/or teacher recommendation They will be learning cheer basics, stunting, tumbling and routines. They will be cheering for recreational sports for Gold. Three to four competitions and performances will be attended. All cheers must be passed off before cheerleaders can cheer. They will have a year-end review. 1st & 2nd graders may tryout for white with a teacher recommendation only.

Combo Classes – Preschool – 3 – 4 year olds, Bitty – Kindergartners, Tinies – 1st & 2nd Grade , Mini 3rd grade & up - Tap, ballet, jazz instruction. Preschool includes some tumbling. Classes are broken down by grade. To be in a class other than appropriate grade, prior approval is required. A few performances are attended and a review finale. Black tap shoes, pink ballet shoes and theatrical pink tights are required. Jr. class will need paws and tan tights. Any dancewear may be worn to class. Classes will purchase costumes for performances and review finale.

Ballet – 1 & 2 – beginning and beginning intermediate instruction. Ballet leotard, theatrical tights, and pink ballet shoes must be worn to class. A review finale. Classes will purchase costumes for performances and review finale.

Ballet 3 & 4 are a tech class only. They will not perform or have a review. 3 – intermediate and pre-pointe ballet instruction with three years prior instruction required, 4 – advanced and pointe instruction with four years prior instruction required and a teacher recommendation. Ballet leotard, theatrical tights, and pink ballet shoes must be worn to class. Ballet 4 will require pointe and technique ballet shoes. The classes are combined.

Comp Teams – Lyrical, jazz, contemporary, show & hip-hop instruction. Tech Class is required which is included in the fee. Dance paws, tan tights and dance attire is required. Performing costumes will be purchased. Several performances, competitions and review finale will be attended. ALL REQUIREMENTS MUST BE PASSED OFF PRIOR TO THE FIRST CLASS. TWO TO THREE YEARS IN EACH LEVEL IS RECOMMENDED.

Requirements as follows:

Pres Comp Mini -
at least one year of dance experience and teacher recommendation required. Kindergarten – 1 st grade.
Comp 1 – at least one year pre comp dance experience or two years other dance experience and teacher recommendation required along with chasse, pirouette, chaine, jazz walk, toe touch, arabesque and jete. Must be entering at least the 1st Grade.
Comp P2 - at least two years dance experience or teacher recommendation required along with single pirouette, pique turns, tour jete, six o’clock, attitude, developpe leap. Suggested age at least 3 rd Grade.
Comp 2 – at least two years dance experience or teacher recommendation required along with double pirouette, pique turns, tour jete, heel stretch, attitude, developpe leap. Suggested age at least 4 th Grade.
Comp P3 – at least two years dance experience or teacher recommendation required along with Comp 2 requirements and working towards Comp 3 requirements. Suggested age at least the 6th grade.
Comp 3 – at least three years dance experience or teacher recommendation required along with double pirouette en dedan & en dehor, saut de basque, axle, assemble, splits, fouette, switch leap. Suggested age at least 6 th Grade.
Comp 4 – at least five years dance experience or teacher recommendation required along with triple pirouette, Russian leap, split tour jete, attitude turn, both splits, a la seconde fouette, switch center and Russian leap. Suggested age at least 9 th Grade.

Tumbling – Preschool -
3, 4 & 5 year old.
Level 1 (at least Kinder) – Basic skills beginning of back handspring.
Level 2 – Beginning to intermediate skills and have had at a least a year of back handspring skill training a roundoff and a backbend from standing.
Level 3 -
Intermediate skills, Must have a back walkover.
Level 4/5 - Intermediate to advanced skills, standing back handspring and roundoff back handspring, aerial.
Level 6 – Advanced skills, multiple back handsprings, tucks, etc.

Classes are broken down by level of ability rather than age. Testing will be done to determine. Tumbling instruction at that level is given in classes. Review finale will be held. Black t-shirt or leo and shorts will be worn or logo teamwear.

Bars & Beam or Gymnastics - Bars, Beam & Floor instruction. Review finale will be held. Logo t-shirt and shorts will be worn.
